We welcome all who are interested in learning more about the African American experience. Undergraduate Minor
Students wishing to enroll in the Minor program will need to be accepted in a major program before making an appointment to meet with an advisor by contacting afro-public@illinois.edu.
Should you choose to declare an African American Studies minor, we strongly encourage you to speak with Dr. McKinnis, our undergraduate student advisor, to discuss your plan for course options and enrollment prior to officially declaring the minor.
